Speaker Cone Not Moving. i've placed two identical speaker elements into an enclosure i just made, only to discover that one of the elements is frozen. when i turn the volume control the speaker cones move in and/or out quite a bit depending on if i'm turning it up or down, and in under a second they move. a speaker with a torn cone may behave electrically much as it should, but will no longer move smoothly and will generally give lousy. my first idea is to put the speakers on their back, and using a heat gun see if i could gently stretch it, and possibly get it to stick down.
